Posted by Morristown Boys Lacrosse on Apr 02 2018 at 11:02AM PDT

John grew up on Long Island and was a heavily recruited high school goaltender.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins, where he was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team from 1982 to 1986. The Blue Jays reached the championship game in each of those years, winning the national title in 84 and 85. Coached by hall of fame legends Henry Ciccarone and Don Zimmerman, he was warmed up daily by then assistant coach Bill Tierney, a Princeton and Denver legend.

John played back up to first team All-America and Tewaaraton Legends award winner, Larry Quinn, who now helps coach the Blue Jays along with Head Coach Dave Pietramala, who’s another one of John’s former team mates.

This is John’s third tour with the Colonials. He coached with Ray Discolo from 1997 to 2003 and with Jeff Bigas from 2007 to 2012. John coached and taught head coach Kyle Goss.
